As part of the Organ Festival, the Choir of St John's College, Cambridge is joined by acclaimed concert organist Wayne Marshall OBE, and baritone Tom Butler for a concert that will be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
Directed by Christopher Gray, the programme features Britten’s jubilant cantata, Rejoice in the Lamb, and Vaughan Williams’ evocative Five Mystical Songs. The performance also includes works by Wayne Marshall, Joanna Marsh, John Rutter, Imogen Holst, and Eleanor Daley, alongside the premiere of a new piece commissioned by St John’s College and written by Fellow in Music, Dr Tim Watts.
